April 27, 2012: Leaving Ethiopia for home
April 23, 2012: Passed court. I'm officially and legally Amina's mom :)
April 20, 2012: Meeting Bamlak/Amina for the first time!
April 19, 2012: Arrival in Ethiopia :)
March 23, 2012: Assigned court date of April 23.
March 9, 2012: Paperwork issue resolved. Still awaiting court date. It's been 9 weeks since referral. USCIS re-fingerprinting ('cause fingerprints expire, you know).
February 28, 2012: Ethiopian courts reopen. I am notified that there is something incomplete with her paperwork. Still awaiting court date.
February 7, 2012: Notified of Ethiopian court closure for 3 weeks of training. Still awaiting court date.
January 6, 2012: Accepted referral!! (Estimated travel dates of March and May.) Awaiting court date.
January 4, 2012: Referral!!
December 2011: #5 on waiting list.
October 2011: #5 on waiting list.
August 2011: #7 on waiting list.
June 2011: #10 on waiting list.
April 25, 2011: Mailed dossier to Ethiopia. #20 on agency waiting list for a referral.
March 9, 2011: Huge Ethiopian court process slow-down. Holding onto near-completed dossier to determine how to proceed.
January 28, 2011: USCIS fingerprinting.
October-December 2010: Home study.
September 2010: Applied to adoption agency.
